2nd year students of the Culinary Program, Lect. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gül, gained an important experience in an event organized in cooperation with the sector within the scope of Dessert and Pastry Techniques course. The workshop held at Ela's Cafe was held under the tutelage of business owner Tuğçe Ela Kaplan.
During the training, Tuğçe Ela Kaplan provided valuable information to the students on boutique café management and women entrepreneurship. The students were also shown how to make various desserts such as cheesecake, croissant, magnolia and San Sebastian. Students had the opportunity to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge by experiencing the making processes of these desserts one-to-one.
At the end of the workshop, Assist. Assist. Mehmet Gül thanked the business owner Tuğçe Ela Kaplan and said:
“This week, we would like to express our gratitude to Tuğçe Ela Kaplan, who accepted us to her business within the scope of Dessert and Pastry Techniques course. With such trainings, we have the opportunity to establish strong collaborations between our university and the sector. We also contribute to the professional development of our students by organizing different events. In the following period, we will continue to organize trainings in different concepts and in cooperation with the sector.”
