Iftar Programme Organised for Foreign Students from our Cookery Programme

In the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, a special iftar programme was organised for our foreign students. The event, organised by the Vocational School of Social Sciences, Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services, Cookery Programme, was also attended by the students studying at the Turkish and Foreign Language Teaching Application and Research Centre (TÖMER).

In the iftar programme, students from different countries and students of the Cookery Programme prepared dishes specific to their own cultures together and brought them together at the iftar table. Academics and students spent a pleasant evening sharing the blessings of Ramadan and the spirit of solidarity. The programme was completed with prayers and sincere conversations.

Our Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özalper, who listened to the demands and expectations of the students, emphasised that student problems are followed one-to-one under the leadership of our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican. Drawing attention to the increase in the number of foreign students, Özalper said, ‘The number of foreign students at our university has increased recently.
